there'll be corpse boats out of Hull

soon dawn tide rising lifting holding

hopes and lives running

against incoming sea

lost lives carried into the sun

or drowned in Humber mud

life continues, yes, the cycle turns

death final feeds the future

yet unborn and still

memories remain
